    Welcome!

Regent Phyllis YoungWe are delighted that you are interested in the DAR, especially the Rincon del Diablo Chapter. We are located in North San Diego County - Inland. Our members live in the adjacent communities of Escondido, Rancho Bernardo, Poway, San Marcos, Ramona, Julian, Temecula, and Valley Center. We are a small but wonderfully interesting and diverse group of women of all ages, professions, and talents. You will find us friendly and looking forward to meeting our visitors. We welcome inquiries. Please contact our Regent Phyllis Young or Registrar Mary-Anne McCullough.

We are proud that our Regent was chosen the 2007 Outstanding Chapter Regent at the California State DAR Conference.  Pictured at left with the award are Mary-Anne  McCullough and Phyllis Young. We are also the home of the First Place for the  California's DAR Chapter Newsletter.

The DAR is truly a special and remarkable group. It was incorporated by an Act of Congress in 1896 and currently has over 170,000 members in almost 3,000 chapters worldwide. It is the largest patriotic society in the world. Our national headquarters in Washington, DC, is the largest group of buildings in the world owned and operated exclusively by women. The DAR has hundreds of women in leadership position in their chapters, their states, and on the national and international level. It is an organization in which the abilities and talents of women are unquestioned.

The DAR Library in Washington, DC, is one of the largest genealogical centers in the United States. The DAR Museum has an online exhibit which we invite you to tour at Period Room Tour.
