Meetings
 

Chapter meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of the month, September through May, beginning at 6:30 pm. Meeting begins with a devotion, a message from our President General, and a report on National Defense.  We have many interesting guest speakers. If you are interested in attending a meeting, please contact the chapter Regent, Marlinda Passmore.


 

Activities

Members work toward the three objectives of the Daughters of the American Revolution.


Historic Preservation

  • Chapter members annually research, type, index, and photocopy hundreds of pages of records for placement in libraries and historical societies
     

  • Contributions to the DAR Library in Washington, DC


Promotion of Education

  • Donations to all DAR Schools

     

  • Members participate in local Literacy programs that teach reading skills to children and adults
     

  • Supports Labels for Education,  Ink Cartridge Recycling, & Box Tops for Education for DAR Schools
     

  • Conducts American History Essay Contest
     

  • DAR Good Citizenship medal program is open to all Santa Rosa County High School Seniors
     

  • Present DAR R.O.T.C. medals annually to 4 Santa Rosa County high schools
     

Patriot Endeavor

  • Annual events with DAR chapters in the area for Constitution Week, George Washington's Birthday, & Flag Day
     

  • Set up displays in four local Libraries and present "I signed the Constitution" programs in local schools
     

  • Encourage United States resident aliens to achieve American citizenship
