Harris Hill Cemetery Gravesite Marker

In 2007, Twickenham Town Chapter, with the help of the current owner, Cole Walker  and family members, placed markers at the Harris Hill Cemetery gravesites of the  Revolutionary War patriot Colonel Efford Bentley and his wife Elizabeth Gay Bently, and Revolutionary War soldier Francis Eppes Harris and his wife Ann Macon Harris.

Twickenham Town Chapter marked the gravesite of Revolutionary Patriot Lewellen Jones. He was born circa 1735 and died after March 4, 1794. His spouse's name was Catherine and he is buried on the campus of the University of Alabama, Huntsville, in a lovely fenced section, adjacent to the administration building. Pictured to the left is local historian Jacque Reeves, who is a descendant of Lewellen Jones and a chapter member.
