Regent Candace KrughOn May 19, 1908, a group of ladies met at the First Presbyterian Church to organize a new chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Sarah Strothers Robins Tappey became the organizing regent.

The chapter chose its name as a tribute to the original name of Huntsville. In 1811, Huntsville was incorporated as Twickenham Town but  was renamed Huntsville after the first settler John Hunt  during the War of 1812.

We are a friendly and diverse group of women of many ages and talents. You will find we look forward to meeting our visitors. Please contact our Regent Candace Krugh (pictured at right) for information. We welcome inquiries about membership.
