A Little History
New Caledonia Chapter Vancouver,
British Columbia is located on the west coast of Canada a few hours
north of Seattle. Our membership extends throughout the entire
province of British Columbia.
The chapter was founded in Kelowna, British Columbia, February 1988;
by Organizing Regent, Helen Stewart. In 2001, Regent
Alys Monod moved the chapter to
Vancouver. Organizing Regent
Abbie Thompson, and current regent
Lil Heselton worked
to increase membership. In 2003, Susan Conger, Units Overseas
Chairman and Anna Harder attended a luncheon to install Carolyn
Kramer as Regent.
Our chapter membership which began in 2001 with only 3 members has
in 2008 increased to a vibrant 26 members. New Caledonia Chapter
sponsors many worthwhile and wonderful projects.
We embrace the "Pineapple" symbol of the Calvin’s administration and
extend friendship to all those interested in joining the DAR in
British Columbia. For more information, contact
Lil Heselton.

Though members
share a proven lineage and heritage as a descendant of a patriot of
the American Revolution, American citizenship is not a requirement. We will help with research on ancestors who participated in the
American Revolution.
