Fort Craig - 1785. Marker located in Maryville, TN, at the corner of Washington and Neff Streets. Dedicated in 1928 by Mary Blount Chapter.  The Fort Craig compound was approximately two acres of land, created to protect the citizens from raids. The area extended south of the marker to the base of a bluff, where a large spring was located.
