| Located 15 miles east of Maryville in the 14th District, Ellejoy Baptist Church was organized in 1823, having met as an arm of Miller's Cove Church since 1818. |

Benjamin Tipton, Sr. Born c 1752. Married (1) Rebecca Rhea. Married (2) Rebecca Cusick, in 1796, in Blount County, TN. He was a Lt. in the VA Militia. and the second son of Col. John Tipton. Died 2-1807 in Blount County.

Willoughby Rogers. Born 1756 NC. Served as a corporal in Captain Jones' 3rd NC Regt. Married to Mary Vincent in 1782 in NC. He was listed on the 1818 pension list in Blount County. Died 6-23-1828 Blount County. Marker placed by Spencer Clack Chapter in 1974.
