Halpatiokee
Chapter was organized in Stuart, Florida, on January 20, 1949, by
Organizing Regent Ezelle G. Lyons and sixteen patriotic women.
The word "Halpatiokee " originates from the Seminole Indian language
meaning "river of the big alligators."
We are a friendly and diverse
group of women with many talents and ages. You will find us friendly
and we look forward to meeting our visitors. We welcome inquiries
about membership. Please contact
Regent
Avagail
Flowers
or Registrar Marion Daly for
information.
We are making
plans to celebrate our 60th Chapter Anniversary in January 2009.
